Apple released a bunch of updates for Final Cut Pro, Motion, Sountrack Pro, Color, DVD Studio Pro, Compressor, Cinema Tools, iPhoto and Tiger.

Final Cut Pro 6.0.2

  1. Compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) and 10.5 (Leopard)
  2. Motion Templates Updates (Requires Motion 3.0.2)
  3. Setting Render Preferences for Motion Master Templates and Motion Projects
  4. Skipping Directories in the Reconnect Files Dialog
  5. Moving Media Files to the Trash Now Makes Clips Offline
  6. Changes to Snapping Behavior When Performing Shuffle Edits
  7. Hiding Clip Names in the Timeline
  8. New Playhead-Centered Zooming Commands in the Timeline
  9. Opening a Nested Sequence Displays the Playhead in the Expected Position
  10. You can force FCP to open up with a new empty project by holding down the SHIFT key and clicking on the FCP icon.

An important note is that FCP 6.0.2 projects are not backward compatible (not even with 6.0.1). You will be asked to update your current project to version 6.0.2.

  6. Improved project reconfirming.
  7. Improved rendering of clips with speed effects.
  8. Any volume can be used to save color projects.
  9. Improved media handling during Final Cut Pro to Color round trips.
  10. Improved Handling of Motino and LiveType clips, and offline media.
  11. Fixes to undo.

DVD Studio Pro 4.2.1

  2. Native support for more HDV formats (720p24, 720p30, 720p60, 1080p24, 1080p30, 1080i60)

  2. The filters pane of the inspector now includes a color tab for selecting and adjusting color space settings.

Ciname Tools 4.0.1

  2. Pull lists now show the correct length for speed changes.
  3. Messages now included in exported lists.
  4. Change lists now support PDF formatting.
  5. ALE imported sound rate now matches in the database rate.
  6. Reel and roll names now sort more predictably in the list view window.

Well that’s it. Apple also released today updates to Tiger (10.4.11) and iPhoto (7.1.1.).
