With a growing list of companies adopting Blu-Ray and dropping HD-DVD, it looks like Toshiba might have to give up on its format.

Electronista is reporting that Best Buy will push Blu-ray over HD DVD in all its retail stores.

Yesterday, NetFlix announced that they would only distribute Blue-ray as well and not carry HD-DVD.

What does this mean for new media creators? You better brush up on Blu-Ray and get rid of any HD-DVD authoring programs you may have.
