JPL is using Twitter to to relay information about the Mars Phoenix Lander to us earthlinks.

An employee at JPL, Veronica McGregor, has been playing the part of @MarsPhoneni on Twitter. She now has over 10,000 followers in only a few weeks.

What a great way to use social media for marketing purposes. How can your company use Twitter, and for that matter, any other social marketing network, for marketing and business development purposes?

Interestingly, being a Twitter user, I just happened to search for Phoenix a while back and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a Twitter account. I was one of the first few hundred to follow and long before I had heard about them using Twitter. If Twitter doesn’t implode, it may well become a “place to be” for companies and people who want to be found.

I agree with you with the comment “if it does not implode”. Looks like it’s doing that slowly.
