If anyone tells you we are not going through another .com era, tell them about Twitter getting a valuation of $100 million without a business plan (or any way to really monetize their service) and Veoh now getting another $30 million in funding, bringing it’s total funding to a whopping $70 million.

The funding was led by Intel Capital, Adobe and investor Gordon Crawford.

The company says it will use the money to fly around it’s VPs in first class private jets instead of coach. Ok, they hopefully won’t do that (though a lot of the .com busts were because of the wasteful money practices).

Veoh said they will use their money to expand its offering, improve its monetization efforts (I like how they said “improve their efforts”….ah…$2 million for our efforts please…) and do more with video discovery (what does exactly “do more with video discovery” mean? Who writes these press releases?)
